Probably old news to most people but the Tyranid and Blood Angels FAQ's are up on the GW website.

  1. something a friend pointed out, does shadow of the warp still affect psykers in vehicles, otherwise thats pretty much crapepd on psychic tyranid defense

  2. @Mark - No it doesn't effect psykers in vehicles which basically means Tyranids have no psychic defense, It makes the power completely and utterly pointless as my defense against any psyker on foot vs. Nids would be simply to rip him into pieces. GW fail at FAQ writing yet again.

  3. i cant see any reason why it shouldnt, besides the FAQ saying so i mean. another example of GW getting an idiot to write the FAQ's instead of the codex author who would have probably had some idea what he meant in the first place!

at least it does agree that doom of malantai doesnt effect things in vehicles (i wouldn't mind if it did though, just so long as eldar could use their buffing powers into their own vehicles like they originally could.

the blood angels FAQ i agree for the most part. i would have answered the "when does furious chage take effect" question differently (as does the internet and everyone i've discussed it with) but at least with these answers we know in advance and they have been answered with no wiggle room for interpretation (70% of the answers between the 2 FAQs are yes or no answers by my estimation)

  4. I heard rumours to the effect that GW thought that the Tyranid Codex was overpowered so were planning on nerfing it. Ironically, the only recent codex that is bordering on overpowered is the Blood Angels one and they've hardly changed that at all...twats.
Other than the frankly preposterous interpretation of Shadow of the Warp, all the things that are consistently useful in the Nid book have been left alone. The only things that could be considered 'Nerfs' are against units that we thought should work that way anyway *cough* Doom of Malan'tai *cough*
The confirmation that all Tyranid Close combat biomorph effects stack is quite useful but not exactly game breaking.
Fortunately, no unit that I was planning on taking seems to have been effected at all, lol.
