Unboxing Malifaux - Lucas McCabe's Relic Hunters

Opening presents is fun...even if they're for a high pressure 'Crew a Week' Project ;-)

Lucas McCabe's Relic Hunters.

The Box - Front and Rear.

Sprue - Front and Rear.

The Stat Card - Front and Rear (No inside'll have to buy one to see that...)
Click on the pictures for larger versions ;-)

Here's some assembled ones...
I haven't decided how to base these yet so for now they're lightly tacked to the bases they came with.

Lucas McCabe - Mounted.

 Lucas McCabe - Dismounted.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

  1. The sprue was alphanumeric, no trouble with locating bits. McCabe comes with an extra sabre arm or two, left arm I believe, which means a competent modeler could probably remove that netgun from dismounted McCabe which dismounted McCabe's stat card does not have.

Mounted McCabe has tabs in his inner legs to hold him to slots in the horse so he can't be assembled entirely separately from the horse without a workaround. It wasn't too difficult to paint his trousers and the saddle since he isn't exactly riding sitting down, but something to note.

The only major problems were the gaps of the halves of McCabe's horse and the front leg of bowler hat wastrel (the droog). I shaved that front leg down a lot from hip to below the knee trying to get it to sit flush, but it kept popping out of place; it's simply too large for its slot.
