Unboxing Malifaux - M2E Hoarcat Pride

Some tasks are easier when you have some pals to help out...

'Small Box' Cover.

The Hoarcat Pride box contains enough parts for three miniatures...namely the Hoarcat Pride. It also contains stat cards for them though there are no upgrade cards. My set came with three Stat Cards and a single base though several peoples boxes have arrived with three bases in them. This does mean that if you have three bases you could put a model on each and 'technically' have three Hoarcat Prides...personally though I think that'd look stupid...

Hoarcat Pride - Stat Cards (M2E)
Front only I'm afraid...you'll have to buy one or an Arsenal Deck if you want to see the back...

Here are the official assembly instructions should you have trouble locating them.

Hoarcat Pride - Assembled
These models are all very easy to assemble. The only issue might be that the split is down the middle and that does leave a gap down the centre of the faces of the models but it's not as noticeable as you might think and is easily filled with a liquid 'Green Stuff' or equivalent.

I'll show pictures of the individual models first and then show you the three assembled on one base so you can get the full effect.

Here's a couple of comparison pictures of the new plastic and original metal models.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

  1. I think that's what we call a REAL improvement compared to the metal ones !
    Thank you for this review

  2. so what's with the 3 cards then? ... why include 3 cards, if it suppose to be one based model? I suppose you could by 2 sets, put 2 cats on each base, and have 3 based "swarms" and 3 extra cards... (and obviously then you'd have to keep track of which picture went with which swarm).. but I digress.. lol.. seems odd...

    1. It's difficult to work out their intent to be honest which is why I gave both possibilities in the article.

  3. What size base are these on? I like to buy custom bases at the same time I order models so would be useful to know in advance so I can save on placing 2 orders. These pages are really useful by the way.
