Unboxing Malifaux - The Winged Plague

'The plague spreads...'

The The Winged Plague box contains enough parts for three miniatures...namely the The Winged Plague. It also contains stat cards for them though there are no upgrade cards.

The Winged Plague - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of it...

The Winged Plague - Stat Cards
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

The Winged Plague - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

The Winged Plague

The Winged Plague A - Assembled
The majority of this model is the body, head and wings all of which are a single piece. The rest of the model simply consists of the head, two arms and the tail and other than the fingers being somewhat delicate the model itself has no issues.

The Winged Plague B - Assembled
All of the models limbs are separate on this one but none have any particular assembly issues. Unusually the model seems to be designed to be posed with the front hand pulling the model over something which means you may need to be a bit create with the basing if you want to copy the pose on the box.

The Winged Plague C - Assembled
This model also requires all the limbs attaching as well as the wings and is designed to be balanced on the tail. This attachment point may be considered a weak point when transporting the model so be careful once you've put it together.

The Winged Plague - Rotational Views
As there's no original metal or alternate version to compare these to here's some rotational views instead.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
