Unboxing Malifaux - 'Miss' Fire

"Whoops..."

The Miss Fire box...well...bag in this case contains enough parts for one miniature...namely Miss Fire. It also contains a stat card for her though there are no upgrade cards.

Editors Note - This was the GenCon 'Miss' model for 2016 and so isn't available on general sale. It is however more than likely to appear at the various event sales such as Easter and Black Friday or you could also give eBay a look...

Miss Fire - Sprue
The bag has one sprue in it. Here's pictures of both sides of it...

Miss Fire - Stat Card
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Miss Fire - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Miss Fire - Assembled
This one has lots of small parts and a number of quite tiny pieces that are inexplicably in two halves. One of the legs fits onto one side of the saddle and I had trouble aligning the legs so I'd advise leaving any gaps on the rear where the cloak section obscures them/it. I was also belatedly told that it's better to glue the legs to the saddle before building anything else around it...as I didn't do it exactly that way I can't comment on what difference it makes but it certainly seems like a good idea retrospectively...

It's also impossible to get the satchel on if you've already attached the arm but to be fair this is actually mentioned on the instructions. You also notice that the dynamite piece that goes on the bag is very similar to the two dynamite pieces that join together so make sure you use the piece with the sloped section for the bag. As long as you're systematic with the assembly and pay attention to the instruction note you should be just fine.

Miss Fire - Rotational View
There's no original metal model to compare this one to so here's a rotational view instead.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
