New options for the Fallout: Wasteland Warfare post apocalyptic miniatures skirmish game from Modiphius...

NEW RESIN STARTER SET OPTIONS & UPGRADES
PLUS PRODUCTION PREVIEWS!

People have been asking if they could get a version of the bundles with the resin starter set instead of the PVC set - so we've got you covered, even if you've already bought one.

The following bundles now include an option to choose either the PVC or Resin version. The resin upgrade costs an extra £30 but you're still saving £20-£25 on buying everything separately.

Remember the Vault Tec Complete Package already includes the resin and PVC set!

WAIT I ALREADY BOUGHT ONE OF THESE!
Don't worry! If you ordered one of the bundles above and would prefer the full resin version of the two player starter set (which includes the Deathclaw) then all you need to do is buy this Upgrade for £30 on our webstore. There's no extra shipping. We'll then upgrade your order when they are shipped. If you have a question about this please message support@modiphius.com - bear with us over Christmas we'll answer as soon as we can.

PAINTED PICS!
Finally we have some pro painted pictures of the Brotherhood of Steel Core Box, and Super Mutants Core Box below!

SAVE THOSE CAPS

We've had some samples of the Nuka Cola caps turn up in the office - here's a sneak peak. You can pick up a blister of 50 of these for £12 which includes a sticker sheet to use them as numbered tokens within the game (for actual Caps or wounds etc), and comes with a Bottle Cap Mine weapon card. Alternatively use them as official caps for cosplay or LARPING!

PRODUCTION PREVIEW

We've had approvals on a whole load of components over the last few weeks - here's a teaser - we'll be showing these off and talking about them more in forthcoming Development Blogs. We had hoped to get another for the Settlement and AI out this week but we've been doing the final urgent editing on the rules so bear with us until after Christmas and we'll have a lot more to reveal.

Here's just one of the Quest cards - which can be simple objectives like this, or a series of chained quest cards that lead from one to the other. Note these are clipped from the art file - the actual cards will have rounded edges!

Here's a couple of weapon cards below. A range weapon has short and long range shown using the coloured range rulers. Each one shows the dice you roll at that distance, and how much minimum damage it does - in the case of the Laser Musket it does a fixed 2 Energy damage plus whatever you get on the effect dice. The Tire Iron does a fixed 2 Physical damage plus the results of the effect dice.

They grey area to the right is only for use by Heroic characters who can use Criticals - for example the Laser Musket needs 3 Criticals tokens and then can make an auto hit with a minimum of 3 damage, plus an extra yellow effect dice in addition to the usual dice.

Here's one of of four sides of the two counter sheets including the range rulers, and various counters for wounds, criticals, luck, search, activation and charge bonuses.

Whilst resin production continues on the core sets, we've also signed off the masters for the tooling in china for the PVC starter set and expect to see samples of the PVC miniatures in January to show you. Bethesda has signed off the Red Rocket Scenic set components for production so we'll be starting on that next as it's also being produced in China.

With so much content the rulebook has taken longer to finalise and we're currently doing final edits on the laid out rule book to make it as easy to understand as possible. This is going to be the final item ready for production as we'll need to give Bethesda time to approve it. They start again first week of January so our goal is to have it ready by when they're back in. We know the approvals could take time and at the end of January, China start their New Year holiday. All the factories and ports shut down for the month of February so we're being realistic and pushing the launch to late May to allow time for Bethesda to sign off the final rules. Things could go quicker but we would rather be realistic. We're sorry we won't hit the March date as I know you're keen to get playing, but the wait will be worth it for the extra attention given to the rulebook. This is also giving your local gaming stores more time to be involved in the pre-order too.

This does mean we can keep online pre-orders open longer for those of you who need more time so we'll be guaranteeing pre-orders received by 1st March will be shipped at launch and any orders received after that will be shipped as soon as possible depending on demand. There's another bonus too...

RULES PREVIEW & POINTS PLAN

As soon as the rulebook is signed off we'll be sending it out to everyone in PDF along with a download of the main cards and dice so you can test the game before it arrives. We're taking a more contemporary approach to points values and creating an online quarterly rules and points update. Using your feedback between Feb and April we will refine the points values at launch and we'll then be inviting the community to contribute through a special portal. We'll discuss this more in a Development Update in January. Those who signed up to the playtest team will be invited to help us playtest Wave 2 cards and rules once they have the components.

That's it for today, in case you missed it I'm including the text below from our last email which mentions an upgrade to the Scenic set and how you can help your local store get involved in the full pre-order. You'll find lots of your local stores starting to roll out pre-orders for Fallout: Wasteland Warfare in the coming weeks so do go and support them.

Here's a final fun updated scale diagram - wonder who that is on the right?

Have a great Christmas and see you in January!

Cheers
Chris, Modiphius

LAST WEEKS NEWSLETTER

If you've been hanging on to support the pre-order via your local store the wait is over! By now our distributors should have passed on the order information to your friendly local gaming stores but you can help us make sure your local games store has everything they need to know!

We have launched the pre-order for the Two Player PVC Starter Set, The Red Rocket Scenic Set, and all the faction boxes (Super Mutants, Brotherhood of Steel & Survivors) through distributors. Instead of Nuka Cola Girl, retailers have a different pre-order bonus of the Alien Zetan which comes with the Blaster Pistol weapon card - if you order the PVC 2 Player starter set through retail before the end of January then you'll get one of these. NOTE! Your local store may have an earlier cut off date as they need to get their orders in to distributors before the end of January so please check!

If you've pre-ordered online already with us, or plan to soon don't worry! When we launch our Spring Wave 2 pre-order which includes the Enclave, Raiders and Institute we'll be swapping around the pre-order bonuses.

That means your local retailers will get Nuka Cola Girl, and Modiphius webstore pre-orders will get the Alien Zetan. You'll also be able to pick up both of them from us at any events we attend through the year - so far that includes UK Games Expo, GenCon, Essen, Dragonmeet and more to be announced in the US and Europe.

MADE TO ORDER ITEMS!

Some of the items in the pre-order are made to order and only available from our webstore or direct to retailers. We have launched a direct to retail webstore just to support your local stores www.modiphiusretail.com which includes free shipping on bulk orders. Remember you must be a registered retailer to sign up

If you want to be able to order the following sets through your local retailer please pass this on and ask them to sign up for an account and they can order them in if they get us orders before Jan 31st (to guarantee delivery at launch).

WASTELAND STARTER SCENIC SET UPGRADE!

After working with our factory we've been able to bump up the contents of the Wasteland Starter Scenic Set to match the contents of each of the individual scenic packs giving you more value - in fact you're now saving £60 on the individual sets.

We've added the following:
- 1 Extra Nuka Cola Machine, plus the parts for each machine
- 1 Extra Wall Mounted Console
- 3 Extra Vault-Tec Crates

Plus we're adding a set of cards to the box set including the Nuka-Cola Machine search deck and Vault-Tec Search Deck. We'll reveal more about this soon.

So now you're getting 26 High quality resin miniatures. Here's a picture to remind you what's in the box now!

We'll be posting the next Development Blog this week with a discussion of the Settlement system, and revealing a whole bunch of cards that have just been approved by Bethesda. We're working very had to get everything ready for production but need to give Bethesda plenty of time for approvals - it looks like the rule book will be signed off in January and we'll share it free online in PDF as soon as it is. In the run up we'll have lots more previews though.

The following are already in production - the Survivors, Super Mutants and Brotherhood of Steel Core Boxes along with the resin version of the Two Player Starter set miniatures since we already know there's huge demand for all of them we're aiming to build up as much stock to meet the demand!

Which brings me to another upgrade to announce! The resin version of the Two Player Starter set will now come in a specially stickered version of the actual retail box so those of you picking this version don't miss out.

That's it for today, please pass this on to your local retailer - or just tell them to head to www.modiphiusretail.com to sign up for the special Fallout: Wasteland Warfare made to order items - it's as simple as that!

Thanks for listening!

Chris, Modiphius
