Unboxing Malifaux - The Jury

"You'll be fairly tried...then fairly executed..."

The Jury box contains enough parts for one miniature...namely The Jury. It also contains a stat card for her though there are no upgrade cards.

The Jury - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it as well as the aforementioned card. Here's pictures of both sides of them...

The Jury - Stat Card
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

The Jury - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

The Jury - Assembled
Due to the overall shape this model was quite difficult to photograph and still capture the pose so I've taken slightly pictures more than I would normally just to show everything.

The two part books inside section will go the wrong way around so remember that the book mark looking bits are meant to be at the top according to the instructions and render and this also puts the indentation in the bottom right hand corner which aligns with a piece on the front of her right boot which supports her 'standing on the book' pose. The scales and left arm are unfortunately a four part assembly and will be covered in more detail after the assembled pictures.

The arm is in two parts (the arm and a separate hand). The 'v' shaped chain has slight curved pieces at the ends which fit into indentations in the bowl part of the scale assy. The top of the chain (the point) fits into a small handle attached to the hand piece that in turn slots into the left arm. The scales are by far the trickiest part of the assembly process with the rest being relatively simple.

The Jury - Rotational View
Here's a rotational view of The Jury.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome
Should you ever choose to purchase something based on one of my features or reviews then it would be nice if you could let the company know where the inspiration came from...who knows...they might be grateful to the poor unappreciated blogger who sent you their way...if however I've put you off a product...well...you can keep that info to yourself...
